About Us

Welcome to Wylie Youth Football and Cheer!

Who are we? BULLDOGS! Wylie Youth Football and Cheer (WYFAC) was created in 2009 and has a long running tradition of developing young bulldogs into strong athletes. Our mission is to focus on youth development, growth and achievement both on and off the field. Through self-esteem building and using faith-based teachings we instill in our young bulldogs: a love for the game, personal growth, fun, discipline, integrity, character, structure, football IQ, competitive drive, physical development, technique and teamwork.

No boundaries, just football.

Welcome to our site dedicated to our youth football and cheer programs.

2024 LEAGUE SEASON:

We are a member of TYFA – Texas Youth Football Association. Our full season begins in July and typically ends in early December. We practice 6 to 8 hours a week with games on Saturdays in town and on the road in DFW. See our calendar for information and dates.

Our Board, Coaches and Volunteers work hard each year to field competitive teams with a love for the game. Hope you can join us for the 2024 Fall Season with practices beginning mid July.

All coaching volunteers are annually screened through a national criminal background check service and against the national sex offender registry. Additionally, our coaches attend coaching camps and are REQUIRED to become USA Football Certified each year to teach proper techniques for the best environment for player development, learning, success and safety.

Our Mission

The mission of Wylie Youth Football and Cheer (WYFAC), a non-profit organization, shall be to focus our energies on youth development, growth and achievement by promoting an active and healthy youth lifestyle that is supervised, family oriented, fun and educational through the team sports of youth tackle football and cheerleading. WYFAC shall safely provide and foster a positive environment for participants to enjoy great team experiences through our mentoring, coaching and skills training that seek to build up their competitive sports confidence and better prepare them to be successful, not just on the field in their sports goals, but to also handle all the challenges of becoming young adults. Through esteem building and using faith based teachings relating to sportsmanship, teamwork, integrity, dedication, sacrifice, commitment, courage, hard work and competitive effort; WYFAC hopes the time invested in our youth will help grow and mature them not only as players/cheerleaders, but more importantly in becoming productive citizens who are actively engaged in their community and well equipped to succeed in all the challenges of life.
